British Royal Navy HMS Severn
One of 3 River/Thames class submarines completed for the Royal Navy. Built by Vickers Armstrong, and launched on January 16, 1934. During WW-II she was active in home waters and the Mediterranean, Severn sank one ship off Norway in June 1940, sank two ships in 1941.
On October 7th, 1941 the Severn sank the Italian submarine Michele Bianchi in the Adriatic.
She was taken off active service while in the Far East, April 1945.
